Hole 1 | Par 5 | 596 yards
Hole number 1 is a dogleg left Par 5. Your tee shot should be right center of the fairway. A long iron second shot will allow for a full pitching wedge or sand wedge into the green.
PRO TIP – PLAY AS 3 SHOT HOLE. HIGH SCORES COME INTO PLAY WHEN GOING FOR IT IN 2.
⚫ 596 ⚪ 538 🔵 506 ⚪ 458
Hole 2 | Par 4 |293 yards
Hole number 2 is a straight away shorter par 4. A long iron off the tee is recommended, resulting in a level lie for your second shot to an elevated green. Pay attention to pin position as this green is long and tricky.
PRO TIP – IF YOU HAVE CONFIDENCE IN YOUR DRIVER…. HIT IT!
⚫ 325 ⚪ 293 🔵 279 ⚪ 249
Hole 3 | Par 3 | 179 yards
Hole number 3 is a down hill par 3. Pay attention to wind direction and pin position, as both could make this a 3-4 club difference.
PRO TIP – THE MISS IS SHORT LEFT, ANYTHING RIGHT OF THE GREEN BRINGS BOGEY OR DOUBLE INTO PLAY.
⚫ 179 ⚪ 179 🔵 160 ⚪ 160
Hole 4 | Par 4 | 329 yards
Hole number 4 is a slight dogleg right par 4. Risk reward off the tee, long iron or fairway wood leaves you with a full shot into this 2-tier green. Hitting driver off the tee will put the short game to test as this green is tricky.
PRO TIP – DON’T GET GREEDY WHEN HITTING YOUR APPROACH PLAY TO THE MIDDLE OF THE GREEN.
⚫ 329 ⚪ 329 🔵 329 ⚪ 250
Hole 5 | Par 3 | 140 yards
Hole number 5 par 3 is 230 yards from the back tee’s and 130 from the front tee’s…… plays just as hard from both. It is very important to keep your tee shot below the hole. Once again, a large green to club selection is key.
PRO TIP – MISS SHORT RIGHT IF ANYTHING.
⚫ 226 ⚪ 140 🔵 130 ⚪ 130
Hole 6 | Par 4 | 408 yards
Hole number 6 is a challenging slight dogleg right par 4. Play a tee shot that leaves you short of the fairway bunker. This will leave you around 160 yards in for an uphill approach shot to a shallow green that is surrounded by bunkers.
PRO TIP – MAKE SURE YOU HIT YOUR TEE SHOT SHORT OF THE FAIRWAY BUNKER. IF YOU AVOID THE BUNKERS THIS HOLE IS STRAIGHT FORWARD.
⚫ 408 ⚪ 373 🔵 373 ⚪ 266
Hole 7 | Par 4 | 314 yards
Hole number 7 is a risk / reward short par 4. Play it safe with a mid to long iron
off the tee that will leave you with a 100-yard approach shot. Or hit a driver and
try and go for it. This short hole is protected by a challenging green that is
severely sloped left to right.
PRO TIP – IF YOU HIT DRIVER DON’T MISS LEFT. YOU WONT BE ABLE TO HOLD
THE GREEN ON YOUR APPRAOCH
⚫ 314 ⚪ 292 🔵 292 ⚪ 239
Hole 8 | Par 5 | 522 yards
Hole number 8 is a straight away par 5. Longer hitters will have no problem reaching the green in two. Pay attention off the tee as there is OB right and trees all up the left. Positioning is key.
PRO TIP – IF GOING FOR THE GREEN DON’T MISS RIGHT.
⚫ 522 ⚪ 487 🔵 415 ⚪ 383
Hole 9 | Par 4 | 339 yards
Hole number 9 is head professional Ryan Moore’s favorite hole. This hole demands an accurate tee shot with a 3 wood or long iron. This will leave you with a slightly uphill approach to a skinny green. Don’t miss the green left, right, or long.
PRO TIP – GETTING YOUR BALL IN PLAY OFF THE TEE IS CRUCIAL
⚫ 400 ⚪ 345 🔵 333 ⚪ 300
Hole 10 | Par 5 | 503 yards
Hole number 10 is a scoreable dogleg left par 5. Longer hitters aim up the left tree line off the tee for a shorter approach into the green. Try not to miss your approach shot left as that leaves a touch downhill chip.
PRO TIP – LET IT RIP OFF THE TEE THIS IS A BIRDIE HOLE.
⚫ 503 ⚪ 480 🔵 459 ⚪ 409
Hole 11 | Par 4 | 383 yards
Hole number 11 is a treelined straight away par 4. Accuracy off the tee is a must. Once you get one in play pay attention to pin position as this green is 60 yards long that can make it a 3-4 club difference.
PRO TIP – START OF PONOKA’S AMEN CORNER. HIT A CLUB OFF THE TEE THAT CAN GET YOU INSIDE THE 150’S. ANYTHING SHORT OF THAT WILL KICK AWAY FROM THE FAIRWAY. EVERY SHOT ON THIS HOLE IS TOUGH.
⚫ 383 ⚪ 371 🔵 353 ⚪ 302
Hole 12 | Par 4 | 400 yards
Hole number 12 is a dogleg left where you must cut the corner off the tee to allow for a short iron in. Straight away off the tee leaves a long iron to fly a DEEP Pot bunker to reach this green in regulation.
PRO TIP – LOTS OF BALL ROOM RIGHT, IDEALLY AIM UP THE LEFT SIDE OFF THE TEE WITH A DRAW.
⚫ 402 ⚪ 392 🔵 356 ⚪ 306
Hole 13 | Par 4 | 365 yards
Hole number 13 is a sharp dog leg right par 4. Cutting the corner allows for a sand wedge into a large green. Conservative play is straight away which leaves you 150 yards in. A 3 wood or long iron is all you need off the tee.
PRO TIP – AIM AT THE SPRUCE ON THE CORNER WITH A CUT, THAT SHOULD LEAVE YOU IN POSITION “A”.
⚫ 405 ⚪ 340 🔵 340 ⚪ 340
Hole 14 | Par 4 | 331 yards
Hole number 14 is a shorter par 4. The miss off the tee is left leaving you a better angle for your approach into the green. OB along the entire right side of the hole.
PRO TIP – AIM AT THE RAIN SHACK IN THE DISTANCE OFF THE TEE AND RIP IT.
⚫ 378 ⚪ 330 🔵 311 ⚪ 305
Hole 15 | Par 3 | 138 yards
Hole number 15 is the shortest of the 4 par 3’s. It has a very large green so pay attention to pin placement.
PRO TIP – STRAIGHT FORWARD. DON’T READ TOO MUCH BREAK ON THIS GREEN.
⚫ 138 ⚪ 124 🔵 102 ⚪ 102
Hole 16 | Par 5 | 486 yards
Hole number 16 is a very risk reward par 5. Try and hit your tee shot up the left center of the fairway leaving you a clear shot to the green in 2. If you miss right, you will still have a chance to reach in 2 but it will be a blind shot over trees. #16 Can be an easy birdie or an easy double.
PRO TIP – PLAYING 16 AS A 3 SHOT HOLE WILL NOT HURT YOUR SCORECARD.
⚫ 519 ⚪ 461 🔵 431 ⚪ 431
Hole 17 | Par 3 | 214 yards
Hole number 17 is one of the hardest par 3’s in Alberta. A short tee shot will allow for an unobstructed chip to the pin. Don’t relax once you’re on the green…have a careful look at the break.
PRO TIP – IF YOU MAKE A 3 HERE IT WILL FEEL LIKE A BIRDIE. YOU CAN’T MISS YOUR TEE SHOT RIGHT. SHORT LEFT IS A GOOD MISS.
⚫ 214 ⚪ 174 🔵 141 ⚪ 141
Hole 18 | Par 4 | 398 yards
Hole number 18 is a beautiful finishing par 4. Requires a 220 yard carry over water from the tee. If you don’t have that in the bag aim just left for a 150-yard approach into the green.
PRO TIP – VERY TOUGH DRIVING HOLE FOR BOTH LONG AND SHORT HITTERS. DO NOT HIT YOUR APPROACH SHOT LONG
