The Ponoka Golf Club is the result of hard working residents who possessed a love for the game of golf. Ponoka was established in 1929 — just six holes — by a group of doctors from the adjacent hospital. Today, our 6,700 yards (from the back tees) course is short by today’s standards, but features challenging, undulating greens. In fact, Ponoka will challenge the best players with a mix of immaculate tree-lined fairways and rolling links-style holes. Conveniently located in Central Alberta on the Highway 2 corridor between Edmonton and Calgary, we make for a great day away, but not so far you’ll need overnight accommodations.
